BUANA SIMBA'S PRIDE

This retelling of an East African folktale is part of my "Jambo" series. In swahili,"JAMBO" means "hello." I originally heard this story when I was in Uganda, many, many years ago. We were on safari. We were looking at an elephant, and our driver told us the story. I always remembered it.

I use a few swahili words in the story, especially for the animals.
